Real Madrid beats Tottenham 4-0 in Champs League

the_miracle
Emmanuel Adebayor headed a goal in each half as Real Madrid hammered 10-man Tottenham 4-0 in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal on Tuesday.

Adebayor beat Jermaine Jenas to the ball after just four minutes at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium to guide a header past goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes and through the legs of Luka Modric on the line.

Tottenham was left with 10 men from the 15th minute when Peter Crouch earned a second booking for a rash tackle.

Adebayor added Madrid's second by guiding Marcelo's cross home in the 57th minute before late goals from Angel Di Maria and Cristiano Ronaldo ensured a comfortable advantage ahead of next week's return leg at White Hart Lane.

"When I play against Spurs I always have a chance to score," said Adebayor, a former Arsenal striker who is on loan from Manchester City and who has scored 10 goals in as many games against Tottenham.

"We just wanted to show that what happened Saturday was an accident," he added, referring to Madrid's 1-0 loss to Sporting Gijon - its first home defeat of the season and coach Jose Mourinho's first loss on home soil in nine years.

While Madrid responded firmly on Tuesday, Mourinho felt "sympathy" for Tottenham after it had to battle back with a disadvantage.

"I have experience of playing with 10 men in the Champions League and how difficult it is. You have to defend. And when you're losing already and you have to attack it's an impossible job," said Mourinho, who remained on goodcourse to becoming the first coach to win the European Cup with three different clubs.

Ronaldo, Di Maria and Marcelo were rushed back from injury to start for Madrid, which showed enormous verve as it played in the last eight for the first time in seven years.

"Independent of playing against 10, the team played well," Ronaldo said. "The first half was tough for us but in the second we improved a lot."

William Gallas passed a fitness test to anchor Tottenham's back line with Gareth Bale starting on the left flank after recovering from a hamstring injury. Aaon Lennon was named in the starting 11, but Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp said he felt unwell after warmup and was replaced just before kickoff by Jenas. The speedy England winger's absence was noted as Spurs' attack disappeared behind Madrid's second half barrage.

"To get to halftime like we did, I thught we could hang in there and would have a chance. But then our legs ran out a bit," Redknapp said.

Tottenham's first matchup against Madrid for 26 years started poorly as the north London club watched Ronaldo pepper its goal in the early stages before Di Maria's close shot was deflected for the cornerfrom which Adebayor scored the opening goal.

Crouch was booked twice for a pair of reckless tackles deep inside Madrid's half - the England striker scything into Sergio Ramos in the eighth minute before later taking out Marcelo.

"He shouldn't take that chance that he might get a red card, so I was disppointed," Redknapp said. "It was an uphill task after that, an impossible task."

Madrid kept up the pressure while Tottenham looked to strike on the break. Rafael Van der Vaart - playing against his former team for the first time - missed a chance from inside the area in the 28th minute before Bale sured past Ramos to reach a long ball, but his shot past Iker Casillas sliced into the side netting.

Pepe took out Bale in the chase for a pass in the 36th minute for a yellow card that will see the Portugal defender miss the return leg. Madrid had four other players within a booking of being sanctioned but Murinho said that UEFA's decision to suspend him earlier this season kept him from ordering those players to pick up bookings so they could be clean for the semfinals.

"I'm the only coach in the world who has been sanctioned for doing this," Mourinho said. "For that reason, we didn't do it."

Van der Vaart was replaced by striker Jermain Defoe but Spurs never came close to scoring after the restart as Madrid controlled and patiently tried to pick Spurs apart with Adebayor doubling the advantage when left alone inside the box.

Di Maria's individual effort made it 3-0 in the 72nd as the Argentina forward moved clear from Benoit Assou-Ekotto before unleashing a curling shot from outside the area beyond Gomes into the top corner.

Late substitute Kaka, returning from injury to play for the first time since Feb. 26, also made his mark as the Brazil playmaker spotted Ronaldo at the far side with a cross in the 82nd that the Portugal international volleyed low past Gomes inside the near post for his fifth of the competition.

Nine-time champion Madrid has never been eliminated over two legs after a 4-0 opening win on home soil but Mourinho warned of overconfidence.

"The last time we played at home we won 4-2 and then we were eliminated," the Portuguese coach said in reference to 2004, when Monaco rallied to knock Madrid out before succumbing to Mourinho's FC Porto in the final.

Redknapp said it was "impossible" for Tottenham to compete with a big-spending team like Madrid as it faces a difficult task of turning things around in the return leg.

"It's going to be very difficult - we have a mountain to climb," Redknapp said.

the_miracle Friday, April 1, 2011

Android again and again .... many market analysts have started to provide analysis on market developments and its OS, thumbs up for this OS a lot has increased because it is used by many leading vendors to their gadgets. As the youngest (currently) from senor-senior (Symbian, IOS, a Windows Mobile) use Android in gadgets latest gadgets are very high and this is because the OS is so cheap production costs could be diverted to other gadgets such as hardware upgrades.

In the earlier discussion about the Android OS is up to version 2.2 or known with Frozen Yogurt and had a lot of good gadgets installed on your Smartphone or Tablet PC and launched in May 2010. Precisely the next 6-7 months in December has been launched again Androd 3.2 with codename Gingerbread (Ginger Bread) using the Linux kernel 2.6.35.7.

Features in this version include:

* Design user interface

FC BARCELONA | THE "SECRET" TO THEIR SUCCESS

the_miracle
Just some informative & interesting observations from Spanish Sports paper "Marca" that I thought would tantalize FC BARCELONA fans around the World. Did you know that Barça hasn’t gone below 50% of ball possession, that is, total control of the ball in a game, in the last three years? That is, 166 games were the opposition Team hasn’t been able to get the possession of the ball beyond 50% of the time?

FC Barcelona 2011

The last time Barça was below 50% of ball possesion was back 16th of March 2008 with 49.5% against Valencia FC. Since then FC Barcelona have never been below 50% & have risen as high as 80.3% against Real Zaragoza this season & 80.2% against Inter Milan last season. The match average this season is 71.1% which is simply amazing.

These numbers illustrate very clearly the strenght of FC Barcelona. The opposition without the ball cannot play, added to which, they are constantly running after the ball not with the ball.

REAL MADRID | GONZALO HIGUAIN IS BACK !

the_miracle
Its always good for SPANISH FOOTBALL to recover a World Football star. That joy is also evident at REAL MADRID as Argentine International forward GONZALO HIGUAIN has returned to the squad for tomorrows Liga match against Real Sporting de Gijon. Why the post on the return of "another" injured player?

1. Nearly miraculous. Higuain was discarded for the season after a "complicated" back operation.
2. Sports medicine has advanced spectacularly
3. American Dr. Fessler has gained a whole new market & European fame
4. Higuan returns when he is most needed for Real Madrid ( overload of important matches & Benzema injuried)
5. If you suffer a back hernia & need to be operated, Higuain is your example of getting back fine.

Gonzalo Higuain will be on the bench & may get some minutes tomorrow as part of a carefully planned "back to work" schedule. Nice to see you again Pipa!

Borobudur temple provides shuttle service for tourists

the_miracle
The company managing Borobudur temple, PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, has organized vehicles to shuttle tourists between Pabelan and Borobudur to help tourists circumvent the unsafe Pabelan Bridge.

Pabelan Bridge in Magelang, Central Java, became unstable after being hit by the cold lava flow, disrupting travel from Yogyakarta to Borobudur temple.

“The pickup vehicles are to demonstrate our appreciation and commitment to providing better services to visitors,” chief director of the company, Purnomo Siswoprasetjo, said.

Purnomo said the company had organized a 14-seat and a 40-seat bus and five cars with six to seven seats.

“The shuttle service will start operating today (April 1) from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.,” he said as reported by kompas.com.

He added that only tourists traveling with tour agencies could use the shuttle service for now.

“We will apply a similar system for local tourists, but this is still at the brain-storming stage,” he said.

Cold lava river near Merapi becomes tourist attraction

the_miracle
Putih River in the Central Java town of Magelang, which recently sent cold lava flooding over some of its banks, has become a new tourist attraction in the area.

The river is among about a dozen rivers whose upper streams originate on Mount Merapi that were flooded by volcanic material during the volcano’s eruptions last year.

The river has been drawing the attention of not only local residents, but also from visitors from outside the town.

“I want to see with my own eyes what the [volcanic] materials from Merapi look like, especially because my house sits near a river,” Siti, 36, a visitor from a nearby town of Sleman, Yogyakarta, said Sunday, as quoted by Antara.

Siti visited a part of Putih River most flooded by the volcanic materials with her husband and children. She was worried that similar cold lava floods could threaten her neighborhood near Opak River.

The flocks of visitors has brought its own advantages for locals, who have started selling food and beverages and souvenirs to the guests.

“The earnings are not bad, especially on holidays,” said Joko, 25, who has been selling souvenirs and CDs containing information regarding the Merapi eruptions.

Athlon 64 Processors

the_miracle
For a long time Intel has been leading the market in processor sales and popularity but AMD is finally putting a stop to that. With the release of their Athlon 64 processor, with 64 bit computing capabilities, they have been slowly but surely regaining the market back from Intel.

The Athlon 64 processors have been around for a while now and they have proven themselves the market leaders in processing power. As we know AMD processor run at a lot slower speeds than Intel processors making them cooler to run. This has eliminated the need for expensive cooling equipment and opened the doorway for overclocking.

Although AMD hit the target by releasing their 64 bit processor long before Intel did, they are not standing still. They have been constantly upgrading their line up to increase speed and efficiency. This is apparent with their fx series processors and their dual core processors.

The fx series processor are the king of the hill at AMD. They are the most powerful processor that is available. They show blistering speeds for CPU intensive functions such video encoding and gaming. They also show great performance in database driven work and most other aspects of computing.

The dual-core line of processor are the ultimate in multi-tasking. They provide the power of two processor running in unison while still being able to fit in a single processor motherboard. Although these processors are essentially two processors in one, they are rather pricy and may not be everyones cup of tea.

Intel is trying to fight back by forming an alliance with Apple. All macs are now available with Intel processors. Whether this will be profitable for Intel only time will tell.

With competition growing stronger from AMD this can only mean increased benefits for the consumer. As the war between Intel and AMD intensifies, the consumer will benefit from lowered prices, and increased quality in their processors.
